Welcome Back!

Boy does it feel good to be back to our regular routine.  This week we will be talking about how people adapt to winter weather.  One way they do so is by wearing winter clothes.  Today we read the story The Hat by Jan Brett.

During centers the children journaled about their favorite gift they received for the holidays.  At the second center they looked in their backpack to see if they wear gloves or mittens.  They then colored and cut out a glove or mitten.  To end they day the children graphed what they wear to keep their hands warm.  The morning class had the most votes for mittens, while the afternoon class had the most votes for gloves.
