J is for jacket

Today we read the story This is the Jacket I Wear in the Snow.  During centers the children cut out a jacket.  We worked on making the connection that jacket starts with J,j.  The children then cut out a circle face and drew facial features on it.  Lastly, they used buttons to make a pattern going down the front of their jacket.

The cold weather brings out the wiggles in young children.  To get ride of some of these wiggles the morning class went to the gym and played red light, green light.  They also played with balls, jump ropes, and hula hoops.  The afternoon class went to the cafeteria and played with the parachute.  If you are looking for a way to get the wiggles out the Kiel Pool does have open swim.  Just check the district home page for dates and times.
